A FASCINATING PROJECT IS IN YOUR FUTURE

December 5th is Our Kings Birth Day

Thailand has many festivals throughout the year. There are many dates that country will celebrate. The most celebrated holiday of each year is December, surely the biggest of all Thai holidays . Those are the three most important holidays of that COUTRY

Thailand just celebrated King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 80th birthday.

December 5th is the biggest celebration all through the country with bright lights at night. It is truly miraculous. There are no words to describe how beautiful it is. Close your eyes and think about the land of paradise, that is Thailand in December,

His Majesty the Great was born on December 5, 1927 to Prince Mahidol of Songkhla and Mother Sangwan. His Majesty is the ninth King of the Chakri Dynasty and the longest reigning monarch in the history of Thailand. His birthday, which is observed as a National Holiday, encourages all his subjects to rejoice in demonstrating once more, their affection and loyalty to him. Religious rites are held, houses and buildings are decorated with flags, lights and his portraits. The whole nation prays to the Holy Triple Gem and all the sacred things in the universe to bless His Majesty with good health and happiness and the strength to carry on his onerous task.

Decorative lights are everywhere in December। The Royal Palace, the Government Offices and banks are a special attraction throughout the month. If you look from the of the side of the Chao Phaya River, the reflection of the lights capture the entire vision of the city all the way up to the sky and every where the whole scene is rapturous.

I still remember when I was child, I always waited for this time and I would go out and look for the Lighted decorations. Even now It is still in my memory. I can close my eyes and still remember that picture as it was and it is till a beautiful paradise.

Night in Paradise in Rapturous Thailand

Thai people love the king. He has done so much for his people and our country. Thai people grew up with the monarchy. We do not have any word to describe what he has done for us. We all, as Thai People love him dearly.

I've been to Thailand several times and know of many of the places I saw on your blog. I spent a month in Thailand back in 2003.

I love Thailand and particularly like perusing Chiangmai for Rubies. They have some wonderful jewelers in the area and I bought a pair of Elephant ear rings with Rubies in them the last time I was there.

I've even been to the Golden Triangle and went over into Myamar and Laos while there. I'm particularly fond of the hand carved furniture in Thailand, but have never bought any because of the shipping cost back to the USA. I did by several paintings thought and several other nice pieces of hand carved art.

I plan to do a travel article on Thailand, but have not gotten around to it just yet. Let me know where I can go to post on your blog and I'll be happy to do that.

Welcome,

Robert
